To ensure the finest selection of dates, times, and locations, clients are encouraged to reserve their session at least four to six weeks in advance. Weekend, holiday, graduation, Communion, Confirmation, and fall portrait dates often book considerably earlier.
Last-minute appointments may be accommodated when availability permits.
A session date is officially reserved once the photography agreement has been signed and the required retainer has been received.
Submitting an inquiry or discussing a potential date does not place that date on hold. Dates remain available to other clients until the booking process is complete.
Yes. A non-refundable retainer is required to secure the photographer’s time and remove the selected date from the booking calendar.
The required amount and remaining payment schedule will be outlined in the client’s photography agreement and invoice.
Retainers are non-refundable because Paul Hirsch Photography LLC reserves the selected date and declines other potential bookings for that time.
When sufficient notice is provided, a retainer may be transferred to a rescheduled session at the discretion of Paul Hirsch Photography LLC and in accordance with the terms of the signed photography agreement.
The number of professionally edited digital photographs depends on the collection selected by the client.
Each collection clearly identifies the number of included images. Clients will receive a private proofing gallery from which they may select their favorites for final professional editing.
Most portrait galleries are delivered within approximately two to four weeks after the client submits their final image selections.
Delivery times may vary during peak seasons, for large events, or when extensive retouching is requested. The anticipated delivery timeline will be communicated as part of the client experience.
Final portrait galleries are generally available for 90 days unless a longer access period is included within the selected collection.
Clients are encouraged to download and securely preserve their photographs before the gallery expiration date. Extended gallery hosting may be available for an additional fee of 45.00 per month.
Yes. Additional professionally edited digital images may be purchased for $25 per image, unless otherwise stated within the selected collection or photography agreement.
Clients may also be offered the opportunity to upgrade their collection or purchase the complete gallery when available.
Yes. Professional-quality prints, framed artwork, canvases, albums, announcements, holiday cards, and other fine-art products may be ordered through the private online gallery.
These products are produced through a professional photography laboratory and are selected for their color accuracy, archival quality, and refined presentation.
Weather conditions are carefully monitored in the days and hours leading up to an outdoor session.
When rain, severe weather, or unsafe conditions are expected, the session may be moved to an approved indoor location, adjusted to another time, or rescheduled to the next mutually available date.
Final weather-related decisions are made by Paul Hirsch Photography LLC with the comfort, safety, and quality of the finished photographs in mind.
No. Photography permits are not included in the advertised session price unless specifically stated in writing.
Local parks, gardens, beaches, venues, and public locations may require advance authorization or a professional photography permit. Clients are responsible for confirming the location’s requirements and securing the necessary approvals before the session
Parking charges, admission fees, venue rentals, permits, travel expenses, and other location-related costs are not included unless they are specifically listed within the client’s proposal or photography agreement.
Any fees required for the photographer and accompanying team to enter or work at the selected location are the responsibility of the client.
Yes. Paul Hirsch Photography LLC is available for select sessions and events throughout New Jersey, the Tri-State Area, and additional destinations upon request.
Travel fees may apply based on the location, mileage, tolls, parking, accommodations, transportation requirements, and length of coverage. A customized proposal will be provided for sessions outside the standard North Jersey service area.
Clients are encouraged to select refined, well-coordinated clothing that complements the location and allows each person’s individuality to remain visible.
Rather than wearing identical outfits, families should choose a cohesive color palette with complementary tones, textures, and layers. Neutral shades, soft earth tones, elegant fabrics, and timeless silhouettes tend to photograph beautifully.
Clothing with large logos, distracting graphics, neon colors, or extremely busy patterns should generally be avoided. Personalized wardrobe guidance may be provided before the session.
Yes. Select milestone and graduation collections may include a limited number of family portraits as part of the experience.
The graduate or milestone subject will remain the primary focus of the session. Additional relatives, extended-family combinations, or more extensive group portraits may require additional time or an upgraded collection.
Clients should provide the number of expected participants before booking so that the appropriate collection, timing, and location can be recommended.
Local parks, gardens, beaches, venues, and public locations may require photography permits, parking fees, admission fees, or other location charges. These costs are not included in the session price and are the responsibility of the client. Paul Hirsch Photography LLC is not responsible for securing or paying for permits unless otherwise agreed to in writing.
